Springer-Verlag Book Presentations

The results of the Europäische Akademie’s interdisciplinary project groups’ work are published as memoranda in the book series “Ethics of Science and Technology Assessment” by Springer-Verlag. In conclusion of a project group’s work, these studies are presented to the public, the world of science, the media, and the world of politics in a book presentation and are subsequently debated. The Europäische Akademie thus fulfils its endeavour to make its policy recommendations and technology assessments accessible to all in politics, science, and the public.

With more than ten years of experience in book presentations, the Europäische Akademie finds this way of presenting its studies to be an effective platform for spreading its results and eliciting further debate.

2 February 2012: The Europäische Akademie presented the memorandum “Balancing Renewable Electricity. Energy Storage, Demand Side Management and Network Extension from an Interdisciplinary Perspective” at the Berlin-Brandenburgische Akademie der Wissenschaften, Berlin. The lectures were held in German.
