Europäische Akademie Research Results at German Bundestag Commission

During a hearing held on 7 March by the Health Commission of the German Bundestag, the statement on the government’s bill on the quality and safety of human tissue and cells made reference to research results from one of the Akademie’s project groups. Professor Dr. med. G. Gubernatis, co-author of the Akademie’s study “Organmangel. Ist der Tod auf der Warteliste unvermeidbar?“ (“Organ shortage. Death on the waiting list – is it unavoidable?”, see also under publications and projects), had been invited as a specialist referee. In his statement, he quoted excerpts from the Akademie’s study as well as recommendations aiming to remedy the existing organ shortage.
