Gethmann: Publication of “Vom Bewusstsein zum Handeln”

Professor Dr. Dr. h.c. Carl Friedrich Gethmann, director of the Europäische Akademie, has published a new book titled “Vom Bewusstsein zum Handeln. Das phänomenologische Projekt und die Wende zur Sprache”. In the book, Gethmann restates the central tenets of traditional theories of consciousness from the categories of “action” and “speech”. He focuses his attention on the complex problem situation of phenomenology, life philosophy and logical intuitionism, from which can be derived the tendencies for the development of a specifically “German pragmatism”.
