New Europäische Akademie Project Groups Started

The Europäische Akademie has set up six new project groups over the past few weeks. In 2008, four project groups presented their research results in the context of book presentations. Now the following new interdisciplinary research groups have begun their work:

• Clinical Research in Vulnerable Populations

• Deep Brain Stimulation in Psychiatry. Guidance for Responsible Research and Application

• Energy Storages and Virtual Power Plants

• Radioactive Waste

• Potentials and Risks of Psycho-pharmaceutical Enhancement

• The Research-Guiding Function of Metaphors from the Information Sciences and their Relevance to the Transformation of the Philosophy of Man 

Almost 30 projects have been completed since the Akademie’s foundation, and over 80 events have been held. The recently published research report documents the Akademie’s work over the past two years (2007-2008).
