Towards improved innovation processes of electro-chemical energy storage in Germany - Dr. Bert Droste-Franke speaker at the IRES-conference in Düsseldorf on 14. March 2018
Thursday, 22 March 2018
Dr. Bert Droste-Franke, head of the department energy and coordinator of the BMWi-funded project "Network Analysis and Simulation of Innovation Dynamics for new Key Technologies in the Energy Sector" (InnoSEn), was speaker at the 12th International Renewable Energy Storage Conference (IRES 2018) in Hall 8b of Messe Düsseldorf. Dr. Droste-Franke presented in his speech „Towards improved innovation processes of electro-chemical energy storage in Germany“ first project results. Beside the followed methodology, empirically found barriers in the technological innovation system were discussed, analyses of collaboration networks and patents were shown, first approaches for the adaption of the used agent-based model were provided and potential questions to the model were derived.
The European Association for Renewable Energy EUROSOLAR and the World Council for Renewable Energy WCRE organized the IRES 2018 together with Energy Storage Europe (ESE) Conference and Exhibition at Messe Düsseldorf. The annual IRES conferences provide a platform to present and discuss the latest scientific developments as well as the framework conditions for the successful application of storage technologies in Germany, Europe and the world. The event is considered an international meeting place for numerous expert groups from research and science, the energy storage industry as well as from renewable and conventional energy companies.
