Davy van Doren, EA-researcher in the project Enabling Innovation by Simulation (EIS), presented on June 28th interim results at the four-day conference How to Respond to the 4th Industrial Revolution? - Open Innovation and Cyber-Physics from Manufacturing to Service Industry at University Federico II of Naples (UNINA). The conference was organized by the Society of Open Innovation, Technology, Market and Complexity (SOItmC) and hosted by the Department of Economics, Management and Institutions (DEMI).
Within the overall context of the conference, discussed topics included developments in industry 4.0, entrepreneurship, business model innovation and R&D policy. The presentation of Davy van Doren focused on how capabilities and strategy making processes within public research institutes can enable innovation, as well as how this dynamic can be translated into a simulation model.
